a soldier on a mission with a Bible on the battleground
White nuckled with guns in their hands
some never even made it to the sand
baptized in bloody water and the fire is raining down

His name was Darvey Lee, and he just turned 33
had a wife and a young'un and a flock back in Alabam
God called him to do whats right and Uncle Sam called him to fight
He held them til their gone while their soul slipped through his hands
